Dr. Jenn Cournoyer

Dr Jenn found her home in WNC and established her Asheville practice in 2010 after a brief visit here she fell in love with the mountains and the energy of this place. She lives here with her fiancé, and their dog and 3 cats.

Her choices, living in the mountains, the stress and struggle of establishing a new practice in a place she didn’t know anyone were major contributing factors and at times even Instrumental in her physical healing and spiritual growth which led to the development of a deeper understanding of stress, it’s impacts and how vital it is to not only address the underlying physical causes of our health issues but the emotional ones as well. The decision to live a vibrant, purposeful and what she has learned have been integrated this into her practice with spectacular results.

Why Chiropractic?

Dr. Jenn decided to become a chiropractor after her own experience with chiropractic care. She had daily migraine headaches for a year. Medical doctors were willing to write prescriptions but were not willing to listen to her when she stated she wanted to find the cause. She spent most days on the couch with an ice pack on her head and the lights off after managing to get thru her work day. She missed out on many activities she enjoyed.

After her first appointment with a chiropractor she had hope of the pain going away and finding the cause of her migraines. After her first chiropractic adjustment she was completely without pain for the first time in a year. She was so amazed when she learned of her own body’s ability to heal itself that she started chiropractic school 9 months later.

Dr. Jenn is migraine free today, is in better health overall and attributes this significant change to chiropractic. She had been able to sleep better, have more energy, and enjoy life. She is fortunate to be able to see miracles of health every week in her practice thru chiropractic adjustments. It continues to be her mission to offer this life-changing service to others.

Diane Baker – Marketing Consultant

Diane joined the Asheville community in August 2016 after leaving Houston, Texas, her home of 22 years.  She came to Asheville, as many do, in search of a new life with more authenticity, creativity and freedom.  The move did not disappoint.

Having spent many years as a legal assistant in Texas, then more years as a medical massage therapist, Diane was looking for a way to combine her business experience with a healing modality.  While under the chiropractic care of Dr. Jenn Cournoyer of Mountain Phoenix Chiropractic, she realized the opportunity she was looking for was right in front of her.  The transformative nature of the work done by Dr. Jenn leads to astounding results, and when she became Mountain Phoenix’s Marketing Consultant, it felt like home.

These days, when not networking to share about Mountain Phoenix’s remarkable list of accomplishments weekly in BNI and out in the community, Diane spends her time tending her vegetable garden, nurturing her 16-year-old cat, Toby, and hanging out with her diverse group of new friends in Asheville.

She is a member of Business Networking International’s Mountain Synergy Chapter (BNI), Brother Wolf’s Compassionate Circle, a weekly meditation group, a neighborhood book club and a spiritual healing group.  She volunteers with the Rosscraggon Wood Nature Preserve Conservancy.
